TWO DIFFERENT WORLDS
In one world lived a man and a woman, happiness was theirs.
God granted this couple thirty-four wonderful years.
A love-filled marriage, filled to the brim
with God at its center, in service to Him.
A difference in age came into play
as the man’s aging body began to decay.
His health made it impossible to remain here,
and God, in His wisdom, said the time was near.
So He sent His angels to welcome him home
to the “other world”, never to roam.
The “other world” was God’s heavenly home, where
Jesus and angels and loved ones wait there.
The air is filled with music, only happiness is allowed
for in God’s promises He has vowed
there will be no more sorrow, no tears, no regrets.
This heavenly place is as good as it gets.
The man looks down on the woman he loves.
He sees her struggle to move on, as he watches from above.
She carries on her daily duties that she used to do for them
with now a different purpose, to keep their home the same for him.
For he is still present in her heart and mind and soul,
and going about her life, unchanged, is her goal.
For she knows that he is close, his presence she can feel.
He hears her every whisper and knows her tears are real.
The man had fulfilled his mission for God, the woman’s is still undone.
She still has work to do for God and for His Son.
She knows not what that mission is, but she moves steadfastly on
to do her part and fulfill His wishes that still are left undone.
She takes it day-by-day as she waits for the day to come
when they are reunited and the “TWO DIFFERENT WORLDS” become one.
